Peter Steen Jensen

Scientific interests:

My main interest is "Signal and Model Based Diagnostics" which concerns extraction of information from physiological measurements on patients and comparison of this information with medical knowledge represented by mathematical models and computer simulations. My early research has focused on automatic sleep analysis.

I am managing the Cimbi database where we collect several thousand data variables from all test subjects participating in our different neuroimaging projects. I am responsible for the functioning of the database (implemented in SAS), for the development of new functionality, for different data control initiatives to ensure quality of data stored in the database, and for extraction of data to researchers. Besides my work on the Cimbi database, I am Center Manager in NeuroPharm and BrainDrugs and therefore have various administrative tasks.

Last but not least, from time to time I do research connected to the data analysis group at NRU. Most recently, I have been working on a clinical software tool that can provide fast, accurate, and highly reproducible quantification of DAT SPECT images from patients referred to our SPECT laboratory for establishment/exclusion of the diagnosis of parkinsonian syndromes. The tool is called DATquan and it is freely available here.
