Janika is a PhD Fellow at the Neuroscience Academy Denmark (NAD) programme. From her educational background, she is a neuroscientist (MSc) and biotech engineer (BEng). She has completed her master's at the University of Helsinki, Finland, and conducted her master's thesis at Monash University, Australia.
Janika has worked in academic research since 2017 and has experience in multiple research fields including the neurobiology of eating disorders, psychedelics, anxiety disorders, neuronal infection, and hormonal responses in breast cancer.
She joined NRU in Assoc. Prof. Patrick Fisher's research group in January 2024 for laboratory rotation and will focus on positron emission tomography and data analysis during her stay.
