Vincent Beliveau has been granted a travel stipend from the Lundbeck Foundation for his PhD stay abroad in Saclay, France (DKK 12,000). Gitte Moos has received 500,000 from the Lundbeck Foundation for running costs in connection with the project 'In vivo imaging of cerebral epigenetic changes following 5-HT2AR modulation' and finally, Gitte has also received 900,000 from Rigshospitalet's Research Council for the project 'The effect of sleep deprivation and adrenergic inhibition on cognitive performance and cerebral water diffusion'.

Ass. Prof Lars Pinborg and Prof Gitte Moos Knudsen participated in the third episode of DR K’s documentary “Død og pine: Lægevidenskabens Historie” which was about the history of medicine and the development within epilepsy treatment and brain imaging. PhD student Mette Thrane Foged has in a small video clip explained about new studies with a recently developed and refined EEG cap, which with an unprecedented precision can show where in the human brain the epilepsy occurs. Information which is highly relevant for doctors when deciding whether or not a given epilepsy patient should be offered a surgical procedure. Congratulations to Gitte for receiving 100.000 DKK from Brødrene Hartmanns Fond for the NeuroPharm (NP2) project "Neurobiologiske effekter af 5-HT2AR modulering". The grant will finance a new fluorescence detector for NRU which in this project will be used for measuring ketanserin levels in plasma. Below is a Danish summary of the granted application.

We are happy to announce that Gitte Moos has been granted a two-year Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (MSCA-IF-2016) for post doc Brice Ozenne and the proposal "NEUROMODEL - Statistical Modelling for relating multimodal neuroimaging to clinical outcomes in order to predict patient response to depression therapy".
The EU grant is worth 200.194 EUR and it enables Brice, who for the last 15 months has been working in a 50/50 post doc position shared by NRU and Section of Biostatistics on KU, to be fully employed at NRU for the next 24 months. We are looking forward to hosting Brice's project here at NRU!
